As everyone may or may not know, we're are getting married..in 1 week.
we had it all planned. garden wedding at J's sister house in her garden in brisbane (about an hour from our home). this all sound perfect and everything was going to plan, until the rain set in.
it has been raining like crazy for the last week or so and the weather man is telling me its not going anywhere. we were thinking it could be okay, if its overcast, meh so what who cares, if it showers, we'll survive. that was until i got this picture.
this is the wedding venue..drowned.
i was beginning to slighty have a nervouse breakdown. other drama had been unfolding with dresses and hair and what have you and i was OVER IT! James and i were about to can the whole thing and elope. then my mother-in-law (to be) rang to see how everything was going. i wanted to crawl into a hole and die. to my utter suprise she was mega calm! she gave me reassurance that everything was going to be okay, we would move the wedding up to the coast (where we live). Have our wedding ceremony at the resort where i had my 21st birthday and find a BYO restaurant so all the aclohol we had purchased didnt go to waste. A huge weight off my mind, she was going to organise the rest of the details and make sure the restuarant was in our budget.
The restaruant was definitly in our (my dad's) budget. Its, BYO with NO corkage, NO charge to hire out the venue, NO charge for the waiters and NO charge to have our wedding cake taken and cut there.
This definitly is the best out come i could have hoped for and you wanna know the best part about it all..James and I had our first date at the restaurant!
