Somethings been on my mind and i need to get it out of my head.
What is with people doing nice things for one another only to receive something in return?
What happened to the good old days when you did something nice just because you wanted too and expect nothing in return.
I've learnt not to expect anything but now that i have trained myself to think this way it seems the whole world has taken the opposite approach and want to bleed you dry..okay that might be a slight over exaggeration but you get my point.
I never expect people to do things for me and it makes it so much nicer when they do, but its gotten to the point where i would rather do everything myself then have it held over my head until i do something for them in return.
don't get me wrong I'm not a person who will never do something nice for someone but if I'm repaying the favour i want it to be on my terms and do something i see fit, not having copious amounts of pressure put on me to buy the perfect gift or send someone on an amazing holiday.
I want to go back to the traditional way of things and bake someone a cake, make them a card, watch their child so they can do some shopping or cook them dinner because isn't it the finer things in life we should be appreciating?
