When I blog about something that's happening it gets jinxed.
Example: after blogging about the tantrums and what not, Seb has been bunnies and rainbows the last 24 hours. Maybe it's because James is home, maybe it's because that last molar has cut? What ever the reason, I am thankful!
It's 1030 am and Seb is napping, J and I are still in our pjs relaxing on the couch after feasting on pancakes. I miss him when he's gone but these lovely mornings make up for it.
The reason for this post? To just tell you how much I appreciate my life right now
Half stay at home mum to two, fitness journey even though the word 'journey' is so cliché, it is what it is. Life by the sea, with my three.

Moody
My little chicken is recovered.
He was spoilt rotten while he was sick, so the days lately have been...challenging. I'm trying to get him back on track routine wise, it's not going too bad apart from the co-sleeping. James comes home tonight and he's clearly better at holding ground then I.
The behavior of this child though is dramatic. He's a drama king. The word 'no' is getting thrown around a lot, mostly from Seb's mouth. I thought it was terrible two's not now! Not this soon. Sad face.
This weekend is fathers day and I'm so excited, we're heading to the zoo!

Germs or gums or what have you
The Peb is sick!
He's had disgustingly high temps for 3 nights and 3 days. He's been so lethargic and out of it, it's scary. He has been refusing most meals which is really rare for my little chubba, you know he's sick when he won't eat.
The doctor says its just a virus, I'm not sure I agree but I can't put my finger on what's happening in his tiny body.
He has 5 teeth almost bursting through his gums, 4 eye teeth and one molar, could this be the cause? He's always been an awful teether but this is a joke. Once his painkillers have kicked in, he's normal, he plays, he dances, not much eating but lots if drinking.
I was supposed to be attending a wedding at the Gold Coast tomorrow afternoon and staying there the night, I had to cancel. This happens to me often, I'm over it.
Let's pray night 4 is a perfect night with no temps.

Drive by.
I've been doing so much driving lately, I've driven the hour and a bit trip to brisbane and back 3 times in the last week plus a drive too and from my mums house 30 minutes away twice. With a toddler this is a big deal, he's been such a champ, absolutely no whining!
As I drive through the coast streets it reminds me so much of my teen years. Driving past the house my dad and I lived in when I was 16 where I lived in the garage and had small parties every other weekend, my school where I walked across the oval to the bus morning and afternoon. The bus stops I used to wait at to see friends, go to school, go to the shops, the beach and everything else.
It makes me so happy to know Seb will, as far as now is concerned, grow up here and hopefully have so many great memories as I do.
The trip to Brisbane is a boring view for the most part but James and I did the drive more then 50 times in our early dating days. He used to point out every dirt bike jump on the side of the high way, we listened to great music and talk. Every time we drive out of Brisbane city, he points out the bicycle shop he purchased his bike he used to double me on.
Things have changed so much in the last 8 or so years but I feel incredibly lucky to have all the great memories I do.

Firsts and lasts
This weekend was the first weekend J and I have left Seb overnight and for more then 24 hours. He stayed with James' parents while we attended a birthday in Brisbane. They couldn't be happier about having him and I'm so glad they got too.
I rang last night to see how everything was going and I could hear him in the bath splashing around talking his jibberish. He said hello to me as clear as day and my heart melted.
He proceeded to splash around and then say "oh nooo" then "bye." I know he's growing up but hearing him talking on the other end of the phone while he's at his first sleep over confirmed it for me.
James is on his way to pick Seb up now and I can't wait to see him. I missed him so much and am not sure if I'm ready to do this more frequently. James obviously has to leave him every 5 days or so but Seb and I are generally a package deal.
I just don't want to miss a thing about him right now.

August
August is a busy month, a trying month, a good month.
I have 2 birthdays to celebrate and a wedding.
A birthday and a wedding are in a different city, we are taking Seb to neither.
I'm attending the wedding alone as James has work which we need right now. I was going to take Seb but as his personality is growing and changing everyday it's seeming impossible. He is a stubborn fellow and the tantrums are starting. I know this is just a stage but it's one I'm not a huge fan of.
This weekend is our weekend in Brisbane, we haven't done anything like this, alone, since before Seb. As much as I love him with all my heart, it's going to be so nice to sit in a restaurant without a crazy toddler, without having to worry about a nap schedule and a feeding schedule. I'm excited!

17 months
I feel as if I were just writing out Seb's 16 month post.
Time is going fast and in just 1 short month he will be 1 and a half! That's still a baby right!?
Seb is picking up new words every day, he now can say bye and his hello's are very clear! He is saying close to 15 words.
He has established nodding is yes and shaking his head means no.
He associates a mug as hot, a nappy as poo, and for shoes and socks he says push. Whenever he see's my camera he says cheese.
I love watching this kid grow and change, he's becoming more mischievous everyday but also more loving. He kisses all his friends and family and he is so gentle with babies its crazy.
He has 11 teeth, loves to sing (help) incy wincy spider, is getting really fussy with his food and loves to read books.
I love my gingerbread man.
