It's been raining since I last posted but today the sun is shining! It definitely does not feel like winter, it's been beautiful. We spent the morning with friends playing in their yard.
James is away this weekend so we're being pretty chill as next weekend will be crazy because...WE MOVE! Its snuck up on me and I couldn't be happier about it.
I mentioned control crying in my last post, that it was working, it was. The first night James was away that all changed. I swear Seb knows that when James is away I'll put him in bed with me. He was wrong. Sort of.
He woke up 3 times from 11-12. He was turning on the tears big time. I was so over it and exhausted he won.
Last night I was not having it, he was turning it on just like the previous night but the difference was, I was calm. I picked him up soothed him and put him right back down. It took 3 goes but it eventually worked and he slept straight to 8am! Can I get a hells yeah!?
Wish me luck for tonight!
Half stay at home mum to two, fitness journey even though the word 'journey' is so cliché, it is what it is. Life by the sea, with my three.

Magical
Saturday night, one of my best friends gave birth to the most beautiful son! I was lucky enough to be there with her, her partner and her mum when baby Nixon David came into this world.
Seeing someone else in so much pain that you can't help sucks but the out come was so amazing. She did such a great job and I'm so proud of her.
Lots has been happening around here lately. James is currently on an 8 day break because of a shift change. The weather has been terrible so there's been a lot of pj wearing, food eating times around the house.
When the weather permits, we've been hanging at the park which is perfect.
We have a 'new to us' car and our pending move!
We feel very lucky right now.
While James was away last, Seb had been sleeping in my bed. Silly idea on my part. He started waking up in the night so I would just take him into my bed. It was getting beyond a joke. We started control crying him (hard!) and it's worked. He's still waking just before sunrise but it's his teeth, once he's calm he goes back to sleep.
He's a pretty cool kid.

Do the happy dance
I probably have mentioned it before but we are due to move house in July.
I currently love our little 2 bedroom home but its getting to small as the little grows big.
We have no yard and no space for guests, we love guests.
So we've been browsing the Internet for a while looking at rentals in our price range, i wanted to stay in our suburb but i also wanted to move closer to my awesome friends that live on the coast.
I was slightly torn because we love Buderim so much.
We came across a rental that was exactly what we wanted and it was in a suburb i loved that is close to everyone.
I called and we viewed the property the next day.
it was fan-fricken-tastic! it had a dishwasher, a yard, 3 bedrooms and the kind of style we wanted. the only downside, it was available now (this was 3 weeks ago).
We called our families and boasted about how amazing this place was but also said we probably wouldn't get it as we couldn't move out of our place until July. bummer!
i applied for the property anyway and the agent advised me that if someone else applied and could move in straight away we wouldn't get it.
I kept checking the website the house was on making sure nobody had scooped up our house.
Yesterday morning, i did the usual thing and checked it was still there, it was.
I was cooking in the kitchen cursing our stove top and telling James I couldn't wait to have a better one.
My phone rang, i didn't answer because i wasn't sure of the number.
They left a voicemail and it was the real estate advising me to call them. I did, straight away.
WE GOT THE HOUSE!
another person had applied for it but couldn't move in until July either and because we viewed the house whilst the owners were there, we got chosen!
i am beyond happy, i honestly didn't think we would get it, i am, unfortunately, a pessimist.
We signed our lease and put down our deposit yesterday so there is no way anyone can back out.
its happening.

Look how awesome my kitchen is going to be!
Downstairs is a bedroom which will be our guest room, bathroom, toilet, lounge room and kitchen.
upstairs are the 2 bedrooms which are attic style, eeeee! they are massive, Seb is going to have the best bedroom ever!
pictures will come when we move in in 24 sleeps!

This blog
This blog was always to be devoted to Sebastian and our life. It went a little off track, I feel.
Lately there is so much I want to say about this kid. He's getting older and so so enjoyable! He was always enjoyable but as he grows and learns to interact and communicate he has become my favorite person in the world. Hands.down.
As I type this he is in his bed chatting to no one.
He is clapping and giggling. Just these little things he does makes me want to hold him tight and never let him go, ever.
I know I say this about every stage he goes through but this one is my favorite so far.
Sure somedays he aggravates me but for the most part, he is an amazing son. I love him so much and his little kisses he keeps planting on me at random times.
I hope he knows how much I adore him and always will.

Seb
This morning, seb layed in my lap on the couch and demanded to be fed his porridge that way. I couldn't get a photo of it because I didn't want to move him. It was the sweetest of all things sweet.
Youre probably wondering how a 15 month old can 'demand' something. Well let me tell you, when it comes to food this kid is aggressive.
More is his favorite word. When he's ready for his next mouthful he says more, when he's hungry he says more, when he sees someone eating and he wants it, he says more and stares at you mouth wide open until his mouth is full where he proceeds to say mmm with much enthusiasm.
Food is fine for him to want to eat, in fact I'm so happy I don't have a fussy eater, but when your child wants to eat anything soap related...we have a problem.
If he gets his hands on a bar of soap, he'll bite that sucker, if he finds an opening to get the dish washing liquid, you better believe it'll be in his mouth. While washing his face, his tongue will be out licking the suds.
He sunk to a new low today though.
I noticed our walls were a bit gross from sticky baby fingers, I got out the spray and a cloth and wiped those walls down. Seb followed along behind me, licking the walls. Seriously.

Disappointing
You know what's disappointed me about parenting...stuff doesn't just happen.
I thought Seb would wake up one day and walk, we would cheer and rejoice and be so excited that he just got up and walked. It went more like this.
One day, he stood.
A week later he took a step.
A few more weeks and we were trying to make him walk.
A few more weeks and he'd walk a few feet, then he just started walking everywhere. By then we just didn't care so much anymore, sure it was exciting but no one gushed about it anymore.
I know talking will be the same, he says some words and he'll continue to say more but I want him to just bust out "hey mama get me a drink!"
And we'd cheer and be mega excited.
